Sasha X · DJ & live musician

Hi, I’m Sasha.

Ecstatic dance Zouk Multi-genre club sets

I bring live instruments and DJing together to create transformative journeys—from vulnerability and longing to freedom, joy, and release.

Different places. Shared feeling.

I’ve DJed in
15+ countries.

Different people, tastes,
and ways of moving.

Every room has taught me something about listening.

Many places. Many dance floors. Still discovering.

Music, movement & the whole self

A transformational journey.
Room for every part of us.

My background as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist shapes the way I hold a dance floor—with curiosity and care for every part of us, including feelings we’ve learned to hide or haven’t yet found words for.

Music can bring those feelings closer; dancing gives them a way to move through the body. The intention is a safe, supportive container where each person can move, pause, and explore at their own pace.

I believe that accepting what we find can open space for healing and expansion. A feeling finally welcomed. A deeper part of ourselves met with care. More room to be human.

Every feeling belongs Five interlocking puzzle pieces in soft blue, mint, peach, lilac, and gold. Stillness, play, vulnerability, release, and joy fit together as parts of the human experience. Stillness Play Release Joy Vulnerability
All part of the human experience.

From the ground, to the sky,
and back again.

A beginning, an unfolding, a return.
Space to feel, and time to integrate.

A slow beginning, often with live music and sometimes guided meditation. Space to settle into the body, find an intention, and feel the room together.

Played live, in the room

Strings, breath,
and voice.

Guitar, flute, singing, and vocal effects become part of the DJ set—sound made live, in conversation with the room.

Thematic
Dance Journeys

Sometimes I build a journey around a theme. It gives the music, lighting, and live instruments a shared thread—and offers us a different way to explore our feelings through movement.

White and Red are two examples: one centred on celebration, the other on sensuality and the parts of ourselves we tend to keep hidden.

Two examples of themed journeys

Dressed in white.
Room for lightness.

An all-white gathering to celebrate the summer solstice. For me, this is a journey into openness, play, and connection—with space for whatever else we bring into the room.

Live guitar, a room moving together, then time to soften and rest. These moments from White show the different textures of the same journey.

02 / The Big Red Ecstatic Journey

RedMeet your shadow

Making space for the parts
we don’t always show.

Red explores sensuality, passion, vulnerability, and the hidden parts of ourselves. I want the music to offer space to meet those feelings with curiosity, and let the body find its own expression.

The gathering brought together red and black clothing, optional masks, cacao, live music, and free movement. An opening circle led into the dance, with handpan and singing bowls among the live sounds, before a closing space for voice, sound, and integration.

Two different atmospheres. The same care for the journey, from arrival to integration.

Playing together

The energy of live music in the room

I love what changes when another musician is making sound with us in real time. The breath, timing, and spontaneity of live playing bring a presence I can feel in my body—and the dancers can respond to it as it happens.

I’ve collaborated with violinists, saxophone players, vocalists, drummers, and flute players. Using effects lets me blend their sound into my DJ sets, so each instrument becomes part of the same journey while keeping its own living energy.

When the space allows, I also program lighting with DMX, shaping colour and atmosphere around the music. Sound, light, and live playing become parts of the same story.

Some words people sent me after dancing

A bit about me

My own
unfolding journey.

Before the dance floors, there was a kid, a guitar, and a lot of discovering still to do.

01 The beginning
Sasha as a young child, with curly hair and red overalls

Before the first chord

Born in Iran, I grew up between Iran and the United States.

02 Finding the guitar
A young Sasha sitting with a classical guitar

A guitar at thirteen

I’d wanted to play guitar since I was five, but my parents thought I was too small. When I finally got my first guitar at 13, I fell in love with it. Flamenco came first, followed by classical, pop, and later electric guitar.

03 College dance floors

Discovering DJing

In college, I started DJing at local parties, bringing people onto the dance floor with electronic, hip-hop, Latin, and world music.

04 Today

Bringing it all together

Today, live guitar, flute, and singing meet DJing, vocal effects, and atmosphere in my sets—creating transformational journeys through different feelings, moods, and parts of ourselves.

Along the way came bands, music production, DJing, dance, and my work as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. I’m still curious about the many sides of being human—and what happens when different sounds and people meet.

Keep the conversation going
